Norfolk Snowdrops - Online suppliers of rare snowdrops and bulbs
We are a small, family run plant nursery specialising in online snowdrops and rare bulbs.
Bulbs
Although we predominantly focus on the growing and breeding of snowdrops, we also stock several other rare bulbs. Please use the bulb list for more detailed information.
There are at least 20 species and more than 2,500 recognised cultivars of snowdrops.
Relatively tall, the flowers are held well above the splayed, semi-prostrate leaves on sturdy scapes. The inner mark comprises a yellow U pointed in the middle. The ovary is a more greenish yellow and is distinguished from many other yellow forms by having longitudinal ridges rather than being smooth. As with many other similar forms the best yellow colour is seen when the plant is grown in a sunny position. A very vigorous plant that bulks up well. A seedling from a yellow snowdrop that we found growing on the roadside near the village of Babraham in Cambridgeshire.
Whether you are a professional grower or a plant enthusiast, it is nice to accurately label your plants. Our locally made plant stakes are machined from solid aluminium or copper and the label is made from UV stable 3-ply acrylic.
